Ameerah Bad’r is an artist and poet located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Humor, identity, and tiny moments are at the forefront of Ameerah’s work. Ameerah uses creativity to navigate spaces, places, and the sweetness of life; she is looking to create that momentous occasion of glow. The mediums she works with range from coding, printmaking, and embroidery but she also always makes time for illustration. Honesty and response is important within Ameerah’s artwork and writing; she is not afraid to use the tools of creativity to activate change. She is an active artivist, creating artwork in aims of freeing her homeland and uplifting truth. Ameerah graduated with bachelor degrees in both commercial art and fine art from Boise State University in 2019. She is currently working on a small book of small poems.
